THE IMPACT OF CENTRALIZED INCOME PAYMENT ON SECURITIES ON MARKET LIQUIDITY: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON THE CASE OF UZBEKISTAN

This study examines the impact of the new securities income payment order, implemented in June 2024, on the liquidity of Uzbekistan’s securities market. By analyzing stock market activity data from the first half of 2024 and August 2024, the research evaluates the current market conditions and forecasts potential changes under the new regulatory framework. The paper focuses on key aspects of the new order, such as centralized payments through the Central Securities Depository and the involvement of investment intermediaries. The findings suggest that the new order may enhance liquidity by speeding up payments and reducing operational risks. However, there may be temporary operational delays during the initial phase, which could negatively impact market activity. The study also reviews existing research on the effects of regulatory changes on liquidity in both developed and emerging markets. Unlike previous research, this study emphasizes short-term changes following the introduction of the new order and considers the unique characteristics of Uzbekistan’s market. Practical recommendations are provided to optimize the payment system and further improve market liquidity.

ANALYSIS OF STATISTICAL RESEARCH OF THE GASTRONOMIC TOURISM MARKET IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

The purpose of this article is to identify the potential for the development of gastronomic tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan based on the analysis of statistical data. Research methods include statistical data analysis, SWOT analysis. The results of the study. Uzbekistan has a rich potential for the development of gastronomic tourism, due to its unique cuisine, historical and cultural heritage, as well as a favorable climate. Gastronomic tourism in Uzbekistan is at the stage of development, but shows positive growth dynamics. The share of income from gastronomic tourism in the total GDP of Uzbekistan is about 2%. The problems hindering the development of gastronomic tourism include a lack of infrastructure, a shortage of qualified personnel, and limited information for foreign tourists. It has been revealed that gastronomic tourism can become one of the leading directions of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan, subject to state support and competent management. For the development of gastronomic tourism, it is necessary to develop tourist infrastructure; improve the skills of personnel; actively promote the gastronomic potential of Uzbekistan on the international market; develop new gastronomic routes; preserve and popularize traditional recipes and cooking technologies.

Scientific proposals and practical recommendations aimed at further development and increasing their financial and economic potential with the widespread use of the advanced management models for insurance companies in Uzbekistanhave been developed.

The study highlights the key determinants of development, including government support, infrastructure quality, access to financial resources, and workforce skills. Particular attention is given to the introduction of innovations and digital technologies, which contribute to the optimization of business processes, cost reduction, and market expansion. The analysis shows that despite the positive results achieved, the sector still faces several challenges such as limited access to finance, high competition, and administrative barriers. At the same time, government initiatives aimed at reducing bureaucratic procedures, providing tax incentives, and stimulating the export of services create favorable conditions for further development. It is concluded that small businesses in the service sector have significant potential to expand their contribution to the economy, especially through export development and integration into international markets. The implementation of comprehensive measures will enhance the competitiveness of small enterprises and ensure further diversification of Uzbekistan’s economy.

This article analyzes the role of the IT sector in enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy under the conditions of globalization. Digital transformation is considered a key factor in economic modernization, export potential growth, and human capital development. The article examines current trends in the global IT market and highlights efforts to develop digital infrastructure in the Republic of Uzbekistan, particularly through the example of the Tashkent IT Park. Statistical data on the structure of ICT services, export volumes, and employment levels are presented. The importance of government support, investment in education, and the training of IT specialists is emphasized. In conclusion, strategic directions are proposed for developing a “knowledge economy” and integrating the IT sector into the global digital space. This article has been prepared within the framework of the scientific research project titled “Study of the prospects and challenges of liberalizing trade in services between Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as the development of recommendations for increasing its volume and mechanisms for achieving this goal”.
