Tourism development in Uzbekistan is viewed as one of the priority areas of state policy aimed at diversifying the economy and enhancing the country’s international image. Given Uzbekistan's rich historical and cultural heritage, the effective use of tangible cultural heritage sites in the tourism sector becomes particularly important. However, the current level of integration of such sites—especially archaeological monuments—into tourism remains extremely low. This indicates the existence of systemic issues, including lack of infrastructure, outdated or inaccurate registry data, low awareness of the sites, and the absence of a comprehensive methodology for assessing their tourism potential. This research is especially relevant for regions with high cultural potential but underdeveloped tourism infrastructure, such as the Fergana and Andijan regions. The development and testing of a comprehensive methodology for assessing the tourist appeal of tangible cultural heritage sites makes it possible to propose a scientifically grounded approach to forming regional tourism routes, as well as effective strategies for the preservation and promotion of cultural values.
Today, there is an increasing need for scientific research that will lay the foundation for improving the mechanisms of using tourist and recreational facilities in order to further develop the tourism sector in the world, increase its share in macroeconomic indicators, and provide the population with new jobs in the regions of the country. In this regard, this article analyzes the role of the marketing approach in the development of the tourism services market in the regions of the country.
The rapid development of the tourism industry is generating deep structural changes in the management of tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan. This article provides a systematic analysis of the key components of tourism infrastructure, its development trends, and interactions with major economic factors. The study comparatively examines statistical data from 2016-2024 on the expansion of hotel capacity, improvements in transport and logistics systems, growth in investment flows, formation of regional tourism clusters, and service quality enhancements. Moreover, the impact of infrastructure development on tourism demand, the impulse of state policies and reforms on the sector, as well as pandemic-related disruptions and post-pandemic recovery dynamics, are assessed using econometric models. The findings contribute to the development of practical recommendations aimed at modernizing tourism infrastructure, increasing international tourist inflows, improving regional infrastructure efficiency, and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
Tourist villages are a unique form of territorial development that combines elements of cultural, ecological and agrotourism. The aim of the study is to examine the theoretical foundations of the formation of tourist villages, their structure, world experience and perform econometric analysis to assess the prospects for their development in Uzbekistan. Data for 2015–2023 provided by Stat.uz were used.
The article emphasizes the need to assess the tourism potential of regions when forming a tourism development strategy and its implementation, and also analyzes the definitions of the concepts of potential, tourism potential and economic potential. When assessing the tourism potential of the regions, the need for a two-sided approach to it is shown - resource and process. In cases where quantitative assessment is difficult, the author proposes an assessment method based on a resource approach using expert assessments.
The article presents a comprehensive review of the foreign experience in the development of tourist villages over the past ten years. Models and strategies implemented in Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Oceania are examined, along with comparative data across countries and regions. Special attention is given to the analysis of economic effects, local community involvement, and the role of international initiatives such as the UNWTO Best Tourism Villages program. Case studies from Indonesia, Japan, France, and Mexico demonstrate successful practices in the sustainable development of rural tourism. The study identifies key risks — loss of authenticity, environmental pressure, rising prices, and social transformations — and offers recommendations for their minimization. The article emphasizes that tourist villages are becoming an important tool for sustainable socio-economic development, contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage, job creation, and diversification of regional economies.

The article examines the role of the tourism industry in the economy, emphasizing its importance as a driver of growth, job creation and infrastructure development. The main economic indicators demonstrating the contribution of tourism to GDP and social well-being are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the theoretical conceptual foundations of taxation of tourism activities. The existing tax regimes, their advantages and disadvantages, as well as the impact of tax policy on the development of the tourism sector are discussed. The author offers recommendations on optimizing the tax burden for travel companies, which can contribute to improving the competitiveness of the industry. The article concludes with conclusions on the need for an integrated approach to tourism taxation, taking into account both economic and social aspects.

The problems and interests of people with disabilities have become an important part of the social and economic policies of various countries in the modern world. The aim of this study is to explore the concept of inclusive tourism and its potential benefits for people with disabilities who face numerous barriers in accessing infrastructure, services, and products. Inclusive tourism contributes to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities, their social and psychological adaptation, as well as rehabilitation. This type of tourism involves access to tourist services and products for all people without any restrictions. It is provided through an accessible environment that includes visual, auditory, cognitive, and mobility aspects. The article addresses organizational issues related to providing tourist services to people with disabilities. The criteria of an accessible environment must consider convenience, safety, comfort, and sufficient information for people with disabilities.

This article analyzes the development of gastronomic tourism in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, exploring its potential, current conditions for the tourism sector, Karakalpak gastronomic tourism resources, as well as the development of gastronomic tours and creation of tourist programs for the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The main focus is on promoting national dishes related to Karakalpak gastronomic tourism resources, incorporating them into tourism programs, and attracting tourists. Additionally, factors influencing the development of Karakalpak gastronomic tourism and some recommendations are discussed. Furthermore, based on research, the author has designed a 4-night, 5-day tour titled "Kingdom of Fortresses-Karakalpakstan" along with its cost calculation.

According to the measures for the rapid development of all sectors in the Republic of Karakalpakstan on the initiative of the head of our state, 2 types of activity have been designated as specific "growth points" in each district. From that, tourism and greenhouses were identified as the driver industries in Ellikkala district. It's not for nothing. Because the historical objects in the area - castles, are expected to become one of the main tourist destinations of Ellikkala. Of these, 21 listed castles are considered to be worthy of inclusion in the international tourism route today. In 2020, as the flow of tourists decreased significantly due to the coronavirus pandemic, more than 40,000 pilgrims and travelers visited the district in the direction of domestic tourism, "Norinjon Bobo", "Kechirmas Ota Ziratgohi and Shifo Maskani", archaeological monuments and other tourist facilities.
