GREEN INNOVATION AND DIGITIZATION: A CATALYST FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN UZBEKISTAN

The increasing global focus on sustainable development has prompted a growing interest in understanding the roles of green innovation and digitization in fostering economic, environmental, and social sustainability, particularly within emerging economies like Uzbekistan.This study employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to investigate the pivotal roles of green innovation and digitization in fostering sustainable development within the context of Uzbekistan, emblematic of challenges and opportunities for emerging economies. Through a comprehensive conceptual analysis, the research assesses the impact of these initiatives on economic growth, environmental conservation, and social equity. The findings reveal significant contributions of green innovation and digitization to sustainable development, manifested in heightened economic efficiency, reduced environmental degradation, and enhanced social well-being. Emphasizing the indispensability of institutional support, financial incentives, and stakeholder engagement, the study underscores the imperative for effective adoption and integration of sustainable practices and technologies.

FUTURE SCENARIOS OF REGIONAL SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF FORMING AN INNOVATION ECONOMY

This article analyzes the future scenarios of regional socio-economic development in the context of forming an innovation economy, grounded in scientific evidence. The introduction outlines contemporary trends (digital transformation, artificial intelligence, green technologies, and climate change), while the literature review is based on several scholarly research works from prestigious journals over the past five years, encompassing the evolution of RIS (regional innovation systems), empirical models, and policy recommendations. The methodology relies on systematic literature review (SLR) and scenario planning. The results delineate three scenarios: optimistic (2–5% growth through digital integration), pessimistic (inequality and stagnation), and mixed (transformative adaptation). PROSPECTS FOR ATTRACTING FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT TO UZBEKISTAN UNTIL 2030

This article is devoted to assessing the prospects for attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Uzbekistan until 2030 in the context of accelerating structural modernization of the economy, expanding public-private partnerships, the growth of the "green" agenda, and the deepening of digital reforms. The purpose of the study is to identify factors that determine not only the quantitative scale of capital inflow but also its qualitative contribution to productivity, technological renewal, export diversification, and the formation of local value chains. The methodological framework combines comparative-institutional, structural, and problem-oriented analysis of official and analytical materials from 2022-2025. Based on a literature review, it is shown that for developing and transition economies, the sustainable effect of FDI depends on the quality of institutions, the predictability of the regulatory environment, the depth of the financial market, and the state's ability to link investment policy with industrial, innovation, and infrastructure strategies. The results indicate that digital transformation significantly stimulates regional economic growth and innovation through positive spillover effects, yet exacerbates ecological challenges and inequalities in developing regions. The conclusion emphasizes the need for integrated policies to mitigate adverse effects and ensure sustainable development. Recommendations encompass the development of digital infrastructure and investments in green innovations.

Leveraging global partnerships and foreign direct investment, the country can adopt green technologies and align its development goals with international sustainability standards.
