Socio-economic sustainable development of regions, reduction of differences between regions, strengthening of the revenue base of local budgets is one of the important directions of the state economic policy implemented in Uzbekistan today. In particular, the Development Strategy defines the task of increasing the economy of the regions by 1.6 times in the near future, such a statement of the task requires a deep analysis of the development opportunities of the regions. Based on this, this article analyzes ways to strengthen the revenue base of local budgets.
The article examines the relationship between the income levels of citizens and the development of human capital, as well as the standard of living of the population in the context of regional economic growth in Uzbekistan. The structure of income across different regions is analyzed, and the impact of income on access to education, healthcare, and other aspects of human capital is assessed. The study is based on data regarding wages and incomes in various economic sectors. The purpose of the article is to identify key factors influencing the improvement of the standard of living of the population and to develop recommendations for optimizing regional economic policy for sustainable development.

In order to ensure the stability of the socio-economic development of the region, practical proposals and conclusions are presented that substantiate the relevance of increasing the regional importance of local budget revenues in the implementation of the development strategy of New Uzbekistan.
This article evaluates the fiscal efficiency of value added tax in Uzbekistan based on the VAT Revenue Ratio (VRR) indicator in accordance with the OECD methodology. The study analyzes tax reforms implemented during 2019–2024, including the reduction of the VAT rate, the introduction of the electronic invoicing system, and measures aimed at the digitalization of tax administration. The findings confirm that despite the growth of macroeconomic indicators and VAT revenues during this period, the VRR level remained nearly unchanged, while the share of the informal economy, cash-based transactions, and tax exemptions remained important factors affecting VAT collection efficiency.
The article describes the tax system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the changes made to the tax legislation. The personal income tax and its change indicators for 2022-2023 were studied by the author. Ways of economic-analytical comparison with the tax system of foreign countries are highlighted.
Despite the steady development of the economy of our republic, which leads to a consistent increase in national income and an increase in household incomes, there is a need for financial mechanisms aimed at reducing income inequality by observing the principles of social justice.
The resource dependency theory (RDT) is used to guide an empirical analysis of the higher education system in Uzbekistan. The regression models are applied to a panel dataset consisting of 62 Uzbek higher education institutions, covering the period 2000-2013, to examine the determinants of the expenditure decisions made by institutions. The key hypothesis is concerned with the relationship between the share of revenue from tuition fees and the share of expenditure spent on teaching. The analysis attempts to control for unobserved heterogeneity through the inclusion of fixed effects. Instrumental variables estimation is used to address the potential endogeneity of the relationship between these two variables. The main finding is that there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between the share of revenue from tuition fees and the share of expenditure spent on teaching, even after other factors are held contact, which is consistent with a core premise of RDT.
This article discusses the procedure for accounting for the sale of fixed assets and leasing them back according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The problem with this topic is that the issue of sale and leaseback is not currently applied in the practice of Uzbekistan and is new to us. The authors examined this issue in detail in the article with examples and accounting records. The tables presented were compiled by the authors of the article. The forms of the statement of financial position and the statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income in a shortened form are taken from international practice in preparing financial statements. To resolve the issue, the double entry method in accounting was used. The merit of the authors is that the issue under consideration with examples, tables and report forms was made available to Uzbek accounting practitioners and other interested parties.
This article examines the concept of profit, how it is formed and the factors that influence it. Profit is affected by many factors, and they were divided into two groups: external and internal factors. Bank profit is formed on the basis of the bank's credit, deposit, settlement and other types of banking activities. Traditionally, the largest share falls on the margin, that is, the difference between deposit and credit interest. The scientific work also examines and analyzes the practical data of the entire banking system throughout 2023. Based on these data, the largest share of the income item, as well as expenses, was determined. In addition, it is possible to observe the dynamics of increase and decrease in interest and non-interest income.
Tourism can provide stability in an economy. Although recessions affect virtually all industries, tourism historically has seen relatively minor declines in revenue during recessionary times. Today, world tourism is one of the most profitable sectors of the economy. It ensures high employment and socio-economic development indicators of the working population. Because in countries where the hospitality industry is developing special attention is paid to the effective use of labor resources. Tourism is a wide notion that can be understood in different ways. For example, from Earth to Universe has a variety of tourism. Because tourism is the best option to relax and escape everyday problems for people. Thus in today’s age most travelers top option has become visiting suburbs and engaging in rural tourism activities. Because I think so people are already get bored from big shopping malls, dining restaurants, urban cities, famous monuments, buildings. Noise pollution bothers them at all. They need peaceful life, tranquil places, fresh air, more oxygen. Rural tourism is the complex of all these activities. In this article I will highlight some positive effects and opportunities together with it’s some drawbacks.
This article examines the impact of inflation on the purchasing power of the population, as well as the consequences of this process for households of various social groups. Based on the analysis of existing literature and our own research, the main causes of inflation, its impact on real incomes of citizens and changes in the structure of consumption were identified. The article also suggests measures to protect against the negative consequences of inflation both from the state and at the individual level. The results of the study emphasize the importance of understanding the mechanisms of inflation and its impact on the household economy, and recommend the implementation of strategies to minimize the risks associated with inflationary processes.
This article explores the statistical analysis of monetary income and expenses of the population. As a result of the study, the structural structure of the income and expenses of the population, their trends in change and factors affecting these indicators were determined. Based on the analysis, appropriate conclusions and practical recommendations have been developed.
The article examines the current issues of improving the efficiency of managing the entrepreneurial activities of sports organizations in Uzbekistan. An economic mechanism is proposed, aimed at optimizing the processes of income generation, expense control, and enhancing the overall financial stability of a sports organization. The mechanism includes financial-economic, marketing, organizational-managerial, and control-analytical blocks. The effectiveness of the proposed mechanism is demonstrated using the example of the "Lokomotiv" football club; its main sources of income and expenditure directions are analyzed, and target indicators for performance assessment are also proposed.

This article provides an empirical analysis of the key economic factors influencing regional disparities in household income. The study examines indicators such as per capita income, average wages, employment rate, investment volume, and healthcare infrastructure availability. The findings reveal that wage levels and the amount of attracted investments are the main determinants of income growth, while employment rates and healthcare resources exert indirect effects, serving as supplementary drivers of regional welfare. The results have both theoretical and practical significance for the development of regional economic policies aimed at reducing income disparities across territories
This article examines the concept of qualitative economic growth and its role as a central indicator of Uzbekistan's economic development. In contrast to traditional measures focused solely on GDP growth, qualitative economic growth emphasizes sustainable development, structural diversification, productivity growth, income equality, and social well-being. The study analyzes Uzbekistan's economic trajectory over the past decade, focusing on improvements in industrial production, investments in human capital, technology adoption, and institutional reforms. Using qualitative and quantitative data, the article assesses how macroeconomic stability, structural reforms, and regional development initiatives contribute not only to the volume but also to the quality of growth. The article concludes with recommendations for improving the quality of growth, including diversifying the economy, developing high-value industries, strengthening social protection, and improving governance efficiency.
This article examines digital tourism as one of the fastest-growing phenomena in modern practice. The examples provided illustrate how people move within tourist flows, determining their direction and impact on host regions. Economic systems are cyclical by nature, with cost and revenue flows regularly recurring. Therefore, the article offers proposals and recommendations reflecting the crucial role of digital platforms in the tourism sector.
This study analyses the tax revenues and their composition in local budgets of Uzbekistan for the period 2021-2024. A descriptive statistical approach, visualization, and a panel-data framework were employed. The findings highlight the growing diversification of the tax base and the strengthening of budgetary revenues. Conclusions include practical recommendations to ensure local budget stability, improve tax policy, and broaden revenue sources. The results are relevant for maintaining fiscal stability and stimulating local economic development.
In this scientific article, the effectiveness of management mechanisms in diversifying tourism types is analyzed theoretically and empirically. The study examined the dynamics of change in the tourism structural structure based on data from 2020-2024 and applied the Gerfindal–Hirschman Index (TDI) and the Shannon entropy index (EDI) to assess the degree of diversification. Also, the relationship between tourism revenues and infrastructure investments, public-private partnership projects and digital marketing costs was evaluated on the basis of correlation and regression analysis. Empirical results have shown that there is a strong positive correlation between the level of tourism diversification and economic growth. Increased diversification index has been found to accelerate revenue growth. Management intensity and efficiency ratios have confirmed that resource utilization has increased over the years. The results of the study were scientifically substantiated that a comprehensive management approach and institutional coordination in the field of Tourism ensure sustainable economic growth
This article examines the strengthening of the revenue base of local budgets in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the volume of interbudgetary transfers allocated from higher-level budgets to lower-level budgets, and the mechanisms for managing them. The study analyses the dynamics of local budget revenues and expenditures and substantiates the need to increase revenues and ensure the efficient use of financial resources. In addition, the article develops scientific proposals and practical recommendations aimed at maintaining budget stability in cases of imbalance between local budget revenues and expenditures, particularly by improving the effectiveness of transfers.
The article explores the methodological foundations for assessing the value of human capital in economic entities. Existing methods for evaluating the value of human capital have been thoroughly analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of human capital assessment methods are revealed from the perspective of cost and income approaches, as well as the prospects for their practical application.
