This article analyzes the role and importance of the tourism industry in the
development of the national economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan based on a comprehensive
approach. The study summarizes international standards and scientific views of leading scientists, and substantiates the contribution of the tourism industry to economic growth, regional development and social stability.
The article highlights the role of the tourism industry as a priority sector in the national
economy, its multiplier effect and positive impact on the services market, employment and
investment activity. Also, a balanced and systematic approach to state policy is considered as an
important factor in ensuring the interdependence between tourism and the national economy.
