Abstract

This article analyzes the essence, assessment mechanism, and role of the E
Participation Index (EPI) within the e-government system. Furthermore, it examines the dynamics 
of Uzbekistan’s EPI indicators during the period 2016–2024, explains the reasons behind the 
observed changes, reviews the government programs implemented to promote e-participation, and identifies existing challenges and prospects for further development in this area.
