Abstract

This study examines the role of the service sector in the evolution of humanity, as 
well as its theoretical foundations in religious sources and classical economic doctrines. It 
highlights the interconnection between service and human development as emphasized in the Holy 
Qur’an, Hadith literature, and the works of great scholars and thinkers such as Al-Bukhari, Al
Farabi, Yassavi, Rumi, Rabghuzi, Babur, and Navoi. The research demonstrates that the service 
sector has played a significant role as an essential component of societal development, particularly 
in shaping education, healthcare, trade, and cultural standards of living. Based on empirical data, 
the study analyzes the disparity in the share of services between urban and rural areas, revealing 
that rural populations significantly lag behind in access to services. In particular, the development 
of service infrastructure in rural areas is identified as a pressing priority.
