This article examines research proposals for the rational use of economic, material, and natural resources, as well as the implementation of innovative solutions that reduce environmental impacts for the sustainable development of regions. Improving the efficiency of economic resource use reduces waste, optimizes production processes, and lowers costs, while simultaneously helping to mitigate environmental degradation. It also proposes approaches to the potential of advanced technological and organizational innovation, the use of renewable energy sources, circular economy processes, and environmentally friendly production methods. These approaches play a key role in forming the basis of a balanced strategy that promotes economic growth and preserves the region's natural ecosystems. Exploring this relationship, innovation and resource efficiency are considered key factors in achieving long-term environmental and economic sustainability.
