The article examines the essence of social services and their role as an economic category based on various theoretical approaches. Scientific interpretations of social services are systematized within the frameworks of institutional theory, public and merit goods theory, welfare state concepts, and human capital theory. The role of social services in ensuring social justice, social stability, and improving the efficiency of human capital utilization is substantiated. The approaches of foreign and national scholars, as well as definitions of social services in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are analyzed. An authorial interpretation of social services as an investment-oriented and institutional mechanism influencing economic growth and sustainable development in a transition economy is proposed.
Uzbekistan’s innovation policy is aimed at accelerating economic growth, ensuring efficient use of resources, expanding into new markets, and improving public welfare. In this regard, the strategies and programs being implemented serve the country’s long-term development objectives. The article examines the main directions of innovation policy, its impact on various sectors of the economy, as well as existing opportunities and challenges, based on a scientific and analytical approach.

The formation of an effective competitive environment in regional consumer goods markets is a key condition for sustainable economic growth, consumer welfare and innovation-driven development. This study discusses the fundamentals, structural variables and strategic mechanisms of economic modernization and market liberalization affecting the competitiveness of regional consumer goods markets. Using a combination of comparative analysis, econometric modeling and empirical research in selected regions, the study identifies key factors such as market concentration ratios, entry barriers, institutional support mechanisms and consumer demand dynamics that determine the intensity of competition. Empirical results show that regions with diversified production structures, high levels of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) activity and strong institutional arrangements have higher market efficiency and consumer satisfaction. In addition, the study highlighted the importance of digital transformation, innovation ecosystems and public-private partnerships as strategic levers for building competitive advantages in the consumer goods sector
This article examines the crucial role of qualitative economic growth in improving the living standards and general well-being of the country's population. As is known, the positive dynamics of gross domestic product over the years reflect only the quantitative growth of economic indicators. However, qualitative economic growth, in contrast to it, allows us to separately consider structural improvements in production, technological innovation, human capital development and social equality. The study shows how sustainable and inclusive forms of growth contribute to poverty reduction, social stability and long-term national well-being. The article analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical examples of economies at different levels, revealing that the quality of economic expansion is a decisive factor in ensuring a fair distribution of wealth and increasing the level of life satisfaction of the population
This paper analyses, both theoretically and empirically, how the service sector has affected living standards in Uzbekistan during 2020–2024. Using official statistics, we assess service output and growth, employment shares, and per-capita service indicators, highlighting the fastest-growing segments lika ICT, financial services, and accommodation-food services. The findings show that services have become a stable driver of welfare, employment, and social infrastructure quality, with rising contributions to GDP and household consumption. Policy implications emphasize accelerating digital transformation, reducing regional disparities, and strengthening human-capital and skills policies to sustain inclusive growth

This article examines the strategic importance and evolutionary development trajectory of the service sector in the national economy of Uzbekistan. It identifies the specific characteristics of service enterprises, including their flexibility, low capital requirements, and important role in job creation and social welfare. A comprehensive analysis of quantitative data shows the sector's increasing contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Uzbekistan and its key role in employment. The study identified three distinct stages of development. The analysis highlights the sector's continued potential as a key driver for sustainable economic growth and improving living standards in Uzbekistan.

Being the fastest growing economic industry, tourism became one of the key revenue producers for most countries. Tourism not only provides a significant source of income for business entities, but also impacts on employment and economic welfare both directly and indirectly. This paper explores the vital role tourism exports play in world trade, focusing on their contribution to GDP, foreign exchange earnings, and employment. It also examines pre and post pandemic situation in the industry globally, and considers the challenges and opportunities faced by the sector. The findings highlight tourism’s importance in driving economic growth and underscore the need for sustainable practices in the industry through PEST analysis.
Social development covers a wide range of issues, especially those related to poverty eradication, job creation, cooperation, the aging process, youth, family, social integration, disability, etc., as well as building an effective civil society. Based on this, the issues of ensuring the socio-economic development of society by financing the development of social spheres were discussed in this article.
Urbanization is an important process in the economic and social development of countries, having a significant impact on human capital. Human capital, including education, skills and health of the population, is the basis for sustainable economic growth and social stability. This article analyzes how urbanization contributes to improving the quality of human capital, using the experience of various foreign countries as an example.
