This article analyses the sources of formation and reserves of water resources, the state of water consumption by sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan. Recommendations for improving the efficiency of water resources management in Uzbekistan in the medium term at the transboundary and national levels are proposed.

This study used econometric panel models to examine the influence of water shortage on economic growth in Central Asian countries. To evaluate long-term panel data, we used a pooled regression model, a fixed effect model, and a random effect model on annual data from 1990 to 2023 across five nations. After creating the models, we ran diagnostic tests using several statistical techniques. After analyzing the models listed above, we determined that the Pooled regression model is best suited to our panel data. Based on the indicators of this model, it was discovered that increased water shortage in Central Asian countries had a negative impact on economic growth. Each unit increase in water scarcity causes a 0.0166 unit loss in GDP. The findings suggest that countries experiencing severe water scarcity should prioritize water resource management and establish a water conservation program that includes the construction of infrastructure to alleviate the shortage.

In the article, the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions of the southern region of the Republic of Uzbekistan are studied as a factor of attraction of natural raw materials-investments, investment attraction, investment opportunities are analyzed and relevant conclusions are presented. Organization of innovative production with effective use of natural, land, water, and labor resources in the regions, diversification of investments in specialized industries and balanced development of it based on mutual cooperation requires an adapted approach to strategic planning. Analyzing theoretical frameworks, methodological approaches and real practices specific to Uzbekistan, this article provides insight into how strategic planning can be effectively used to promote economic growth and sustainable development in the country's regions

In the article, the reasons for the slow development of the republic's desert-pasture animal husbandry and the factors of sustainable development, in particular, issues such as strengthening the feed base, optimizing production units and forming the infrastructure, the economic efficiency of processing livestock products, and developing reasonable proposals for the sustainable development of the sub-group are developed.
