This article is devoted to the analysis of changes and identification of trends in the main factors that shape the world cotton market, as well as cotton trade. The role of the world's leading countries in the production, consumption, export and import of cotton fiber is shown. Production, consumption and export of cotton fiber in Uzbekistan is compared with similar indicators of the world cotton market. The importance for our country of entering the world market with finished products from cotton fiber is substantiated.
