Abstract

This article examines international approaches to the development of retail insurance and explores the potential for their adaptation in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Drawing on the Swiss Re Institute – Global Insurance Outlook 2024 and other key sources, it outlines global trends such as digitalization, embedded insurance, microinsurance, and insurtech. A comparative analysis of Uzbekistan, India, Kenya, and Kazakhstan highlights structural barriers and identifies strategic directions for transforming the Uzbek insurance market, with a focus on inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability.
