The article examines the essence of social services and their role as an economic category based on various theoretical approaches. Scientific interpretations of social services are systematized within the frameworks of institutional theory, public and merit goods theory, welfare state concepts, and human capital theory. The role of social services in ensuring social justice, social stability, and improving the efficiency of human capital utilization is substantiated. The approaches of foreign and national scholars, as well as definitions of social services in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are analyzed. An authorial interpretation of social services as an investment-oriented and institutional mechanism influencing economic growth and sustainable development in a transition economy is proposed.

This paper analyses, both theoretically and empirically, how the service sector has affected living standards in Uzbekistan during 2020–2024. Using official statistics, we assess service output and growth, employment shares, and per-capita service indicators, highlighting the fastest-growing segments lika ICT, financial services, and accommodation-food services. The findings show that services have become a stable driver of welfare, employment, and social infrastructure quality, with rising contributions to GDP and household consumption. Policy implications emphasize accelerating digital transformation, reducing regional disparities, and strengthening human-capital and skills policies to sustain inclusive growth

At the same time, the article presents factors affecting the success of digital platforms in the market and ways to adapt to market conditions, as well as recommendations aimed at increasing competitiveness. The results of the study identify the main factors necessary for the successful management of digital platforms and effective operation in a competitive environment.
This article systematically analyzes the directions of increasing the economic activity of the household sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the study, statistical indicators, regional differences, income and expenditure dynamics, changes in the consumption structure, and the influence of state policy for the period 2019–2024 were assessed. The importance of the labor market, migration, social payments, and digital economy factors in the formation of household income was separately studied. The results of the analysis showed that, despite the stability of real household incomes, some regions are experiencing a shortage of resources, limited consumption and investment opportunities. The article proposes five main directions for increasing the economic activity of households: development of financial services infrastructure, support for family entrepreneurship, improvement of social policy, digitization of management, and development of regional differential strategies. These approaches expand the opportunities for households to achieve financial stability, use resources efficiently, and contribute to economic growth.

This article examines the strategic importance and evolutionary development trajectory of the service sector in the national economy of Uzbekistan. It identifies the specific characteristics of service enterprises, including their flexibility, low capital requirements, and important role in job creation and social welfare. A comprehensive analysis of quantitative data shows the sector's increasing contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Uzbekistan and its key role in employment. The study identified three distinct stages of development. The analysis highlights the sector's continued potential as a key driver for sustainable economic growth and improving living standards in Uzbekistan.

This article analyzes the essence of the digital transformation process and its impact on the standard of living of the population. Changes in the social status and standard of living of the population of Uzbekistan in recent years have been considered in terms of macroeconomic indicators such as the level of employment and unemployment. The positive impact of digital transformation on the quality of life of the population has been identified, which is expressed in the growth of the share of users of digital infrastructure, the growth of digital literacy of the population, the emergence of new types of digital services, the emergence of new business processes and forms of employment against the backdrop of changes in the country's digital space as a result of large-scale transformation of the economy. Along with the positive aspects of digital transformation, existing problems and ways to eliminate them will also be considered.
Public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms are considered an effective tool for developing local infrastructure, attracting investments and improving the quality of services. This article assesses the state of application of the PPP system in the Kashkadarya region, analyzes existing projects and assesses their economic and social effectiveness. The study used a systematic approach based on documentary sources, official statistics, international experience and opinions of local experts. The results showed that PPPs play a significant role in the region's infrastructure sectors, in particular, healthcare, education and energy. At the same time, areas for improvement were developed based on an analysis of existing institutional barriers and investment risks
