This article is aimed at studying the introduction of the “Open banking” business model into the financial sector of Uzbekistan as one of the strategic mechanisms ensuring the digital transformation of the economy. This model allows for the development of innovations, increased competition in the banking services market, and improved the quality of financial services provided to the population. The concept of “Open Banking” was studied with an emphasis on world practice and the experience of Great Britain, and the activities of banks operating in an open system were analyzed. Also, issues such as creating a reliable regulatory framework, strengthening security and confidentiality measures, and developing cooperation between banks, fintech companies, and regulators were studied. The purpose of the article is to draw attention to the expected risks, along with demonstrating the economic opportunities of the “Open Banking” business model in the process of its gradual implementation.
This article analyzes the current practices of accounting for non-financial (intangible) assets in healthcare institutions and proposes scientifically grounded approaches for their improvement. Non-financial assets including medical equipment, software, licenses, and research outcomes significantly impact the quality and efficiency of healthcare services. The absence of standardized methodologies, variation in funding sources, and low automation levels contribute to accounting inconsistencies. In the background of ongoing healthcare reforms in Uzbekistan, this study offers practical recommendations to digitalize accounting processes, improve asset valuation, harmonize accounting policies, and enhance internal control mechanisms.
This paper analyses, both theoretically and empirically, how the service sector has affected living standards in Uzbekistan during 2020–2024. Using official statistics, we assess service output and growth, employment shares, and per-capita service indicators, highlighting the fastest-growing segments lika ICT, financial services, and accommodation-food services. The findings show that services have become a stable driver of welfare, employment, and social infrastructure quality, with rising contributions to GDP and household consumption. Policy implications emphasize accelerating digital transformation, reducing regional disparities, and strengthening human-capital and skills policies to sustain inclusive growth
This article describes the economic content of financial literacy of the population, and it substantiates its role and importance in ensuring the socio-economic development of the country at the present stage.
The article examines the economic mechanisms for the development of construction services in the context of modern transformational processes in the economy of Uzbekistan. The relevance of the study is determined by the strategic role of the construction industry in ensuring economic growth and improving the quality of life of the population. Based on the analysis of statistical data for 2020-2024, key trends in the industry development were identified, including the growth of construction work volumes to 233.8 trillion soums and the expansion of small business participation. Recommendations are proposed for improving the institutional environment, optimizing financial mechanisms and digital transformation of the construction industry.

Banks with a high level of profitability perform their financial intermediary function more effectively, which leads to the strengthening of their place and role in the economy. Therefore, in the practice of developed Western countries of the world, the issues of increasing the profitability and ensuring the stability of commercial banks are considered one of the most priority and urgent areas of strengthening their competitiveness in the financial market. They pay great attention to increasing profitability in order to ensure the effective operation of banks, the provision of high-quality services to customers, and a worthy contribution to economic development. The article develops scientific proposals aimed at ensuring the profitability of loans of commercial banks of the country.
The article analyses the factors affecting the effectiveness of internal audit in budget (public-sector) organizations and the related systemic problems. It examines the influence of the internal audit unit’s independence, competence and institutional status, the impact of the internal control environment, financial management quality and data reliability on the audit, and the weak points in action-plan implementation, monitoring and feedback. The empirical basis is the list of the most frequent violations by audit organizations published by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the results of the Ministry’s evaluation of the internal audit services of five ministries in the first half of 2025. The analysis shows that, although institutional factors such as independence, resources and competence score high (87–95%), risk-based planning (47.8%) and action-plan implementation (62.6%) score low and constitute the systemic weak point of effectiveness.
